报告摘要：This talk presents two major directions of our recent work. The first focuses on the application of fuzzy set theory in natural language processing (“Math for AI”), where fuzzy analytical tools are employed to model linguistic vagueness, semantic uncertainty, and concept boundaries. The second direction explores the mathematical principles underlying natural language (“Math in AI”), aiming to uncover structural regularities and provide formal foundations for semantic understanding and hybrid symbolic–numerical reasoning. These results offer new mathematical perspectives and methodologies for building more interpretable language intelligence systems.
报告人简介：邱东，理学博士，广西大学教授、博士生导师。2009年博士毕业于电子科技大学应用数学专业。现任中国模糊数学与模糊系统专业委员会委员、中国逻辑学会非经典逻辑与计算专业委员会委员，美国《Mathematical Reviews》特约评论员。主要从事不确定性数学理论及其在自然语言处理中的交叉研究，在模糊分析理论、自然语言语义建模等方向取得了系统性成果。
